About the event
Noble Art Nexus Gallery presents MANAYLO – Three Generations, One Living Tradition in London at the Hungarian Cultural Centre (Liszt Institute). The exhibition brings together the works of three generations of the Manaylo painting family, offering a rare insight into an artistic lineage that spans from 20th-century Subcarpathian roots to contemporary international expression.
The exhibition begins with Fedor Manaylo, a defining figure of Subcarpathian and Rusyn fine art, whose expressive visual language captured landscape, rural life, and spiritual depth. His legacy continues through Ivan Manaylo, whose independent and exploratory painterly approach expanded the family’s visual vocabulary across genres and themes.
The youngest generation, Andrew Manaylo, represents the living continuation of this tradition. Educated at the Ilya Repin Russian Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg, his work bridges heritage and contemporary abstraction, transforming color, light, and emotion into a distinctly personal language.
Together, the three generations form a continuous dialogue between history and present – a living tradition presented in the cultural heart of London.
